Message From Men's President Martin Graham-Hyde 2026

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE - 2026
As I remember Peter Copper saying at the last AGM, my year as
Vice President has raced by and the time to take over has arrived.
It has been a pleasure to support Peter throughout the year.
I am also a staunch supporter of the Vice Patrons who provide a
vital seed bed for County players and get the County message out
to clubs - something that we need to promote as it is surprising
how many club players have little knowledge of County matters.
I am pleased to see Peter taking over as Area One controller as we
welcome Geoff Fitch to the role of Vice President. Geoff is also
the County Coach and I am an advocate of thorough coaching - we
need more of it to improve Sussex results in all competitions. I am
sure I can rely on Geoff for his support through the coming year.
I must take the oportunity to thank my club for agreeing to
nominate me even though this meant I could not continue as
Captain for 2025. The Crouch is a friendly and thriving club and I
feel fortunate to be a member.
I look forward to representing you all and encouraging others to
take part in the sport we love.
Keep well and enjoy your bowling.
Martin Graham-Hyde
My charity for 2026 will be the KSS Air Ambulance which is an
essential emergency service for all in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
