Sussex Past Presidents Association
Message from the
me great pleasure to take over from Allan Hilton who after 26
years has finally decided he’s done his bit.
Many thanks to
Allan for all he has done to keep the Past Presidents
We welcome as
our Chairman for 2018, Colin Morphew [County President 2014].
Copies of the
outdoor fixture list have gone out to members, our first game
being at Seaford on Friday June 8th.
Please let me

Thank you for your nomination to
become the Chairman for 2018/9 season.
Our recent AGM saw the retirement
of Allan Hilton to whom we Past Presidents owe so much. Without
his sole efforts on occasions, the Association would have
failed. As has been said on many occasions and by many people,
Allan has done all the jobs so well, ably supported by Sue. We
all wish you a long and healthy “semi” retirement. Our retiring
Chairman Don Kent has taken on the Secretary/Treasurer jobs
vacated by Allan, I am sure you will all give him your full
support. Whilst on the subject of support I would like apologise
for the fact that on Monday or Friday matches I may not always
be there, because of my duties as the County Division 3 VP
As Don stated last year we are a
small number and at best only add 2 new past president’s each
year so it is very difficult to maintain our numbers. Without
the loyal support of our pressganged players it would be
difficult to field a match team [at times this also includes
ladies], so thank you all for your continued support. May I take
this opportunity to thank our loyal band of lady supporters who
come to watch us? Or is it to make sure we can find our way home
after the match!
The Committee look forward to
seeing you all on the “Green”
