The Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) receives funding directly from Sport England to promote and develop the sport of bowls. It is supported by Bowls England and the English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd (EIBA Ltd).
It was announced in December 2012 that the BDA had successfully secured a further £2m from Sport England to invest into the grass roots of the sport to increase participation in the 55 and over age group and disabled participants aged 16 and over. In receiving this additional funding, the BDA have been able to extend their offer of financial and non-financial support to every affiliated club in England via either the package funding system or through the 5 identified County Sport Partnerships Hot Spots – so wherever your club is located, as long as it is affiliated to the appropriate National Governing Body, financial and non-financial support can be accessed from the BDA.
